Introduction to Weeds or Resilience: restoring nature's services
Abstract
Invasive weeds are a serious problem we need to deal with in the Pacific if we need to build community resilience to climate change. In this video, we showcase the impacts of Tamaligi during natural disasters and extreme weather events in Samoa, as well as devil's ivy (taro vine) on the forest ecosystems of Niue, highlighting the linkage between invasive species management and building climate resilience in the Pacific.
