1. Before considering using natural enemies to control environmental weeds, several things must be taken into account to ensure success and support by the community. 2. Learn about the weeds in the ecosystems they co-evolved alongside predators and diseases. 3. Seek suitable Agents 4. Natural enemies are not reversible so risks and benefits must be weighed between acting and not acting when an invasive plant threatens the ecological resilience of your island. 5. outlines the work done to get numbers up in-country before releasing a natural enemy into the wild.
