Abstract

The recent appeal by Proulx (1988) for greater control of Domestic or House Cats (Felis catus L.) to reduce predation on urban wildlife presented only one part of this complex issue. I want to discuss some of the other aspects that should be considered in evaluating the need for control of cats. Some of these and other aspects of the life of the urban cats have been well-considered by Tabor (1983)
